Job Title: Sales Executive (Arabian Adventures)

Location: Beijing, China

Job Purpose:

To actively promote and sell Arabian Adventures products and services to the travel trade and to tailor-make products to suit their needs. Generate ideas and support product development based on feedback from clients.

Job Outline:

· Support the BDM-AA (Business Development Manager, Arabian Adventures) in formulating the Sales strategies for the year that will ensure timely achievement of revenue & required market share from the outstation for Arabian Adventures.

· Review and track performance of the Sales plan providing BDM-AA with an update on a quarterly basis and recommend changes, if necessary. This will include regular research on trends and competitor activities to provide market intelligence to support BDM-AA.

· Establish relationships with new and existing partners including travel agents, tour operators, National Tourist Boards, airline partners and local offices of hotel groups. Work closely with Head office to validate any initiatives put forward on a local level to ensure they are in line with Arabian Adventures overall strategy.

· Prepare and maintain an updated database of existing and potential clients for Arabian Adventures. Conduct a minimum of 30 sales calls per week and submit a weekly sales report to BDM-AA.

· Ensure a close relationship is maintained with the sales staff of Arabian Adventures Representative Company by actively co-ordinating a weekly sales meeting to review ongoing activities and those planned for the following weeks.

· Assist the BDM -AA in Formulating individual client targets for the purposes of annual budgets. Work closely with partners to ensure these targets are achieved ensuring business growth from the Outstation.

· Handle and facilitate commercial transactions between travel partners in the outstation and Arabian Adventures Head Office in Dubai, keeping Arabian Adventures Representative Company fully informed at all times.

· Actively co-ordinate the signing of new partner contracts with both the client locally and Head Office ensuring company guidelines are followed whilst maintaining pre-defined time lines.

· To arrange and co-ordinate appropriate sales itineraries for Arabian Adventures management visits to the outstation in conjunction with Arabian Adventures Representative Company.

· Review all relevant collateral designed for local distribution to ensure both accuracy and adherence to company guidelines. Maintain and monitor all collateral stocks, liaising with Arabian Adventures Head Office and Arabian Adventures Representative Company to ensure adequate inventory.

Qualification:

· University Graduate Experience

· 5+ years’ experience in the travel and tourism industry, with three years in a sales capacity.

Knowledge/Skills:

· Thorough knowledge and understanding of the travel industry including the workings of tour operators, retail agents, Destination Management Companies, Outbound travel market as well as working knowledge of the functions of government tourism bodies and airlines.

· Knowledge of destinations covered by Arabian Adventures is advantageous.

· Excellent knowledge of MS Office Applications and company provided software. Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power point will be an advantage.

· Excellent ability to communicate in both written and verbal English.

Other Job Related Information:

· Occasional travel will be required to EK and non EK destination for work purposes.
