SAS Global Sales & Marketing (GSM) is an international organisation with 5 departments working closely together to create value for travelers globally: Global Sales, Digital Sales & Distribution, Brand & Marketing, Pricing & Partners, and Analytics & Development. You will be part of the Analytics & Development team, which is a fun and dynamic place to work and grow. The team’s mission is to create traveler value and drive revenue for SAS through insights into our markets, customers and sales channels.

 

We are now looking for a Business Analyst, based in Beijing, to support the Asian sales team with analyses and insights, identify business potential and enable sound commercial decisions and to work with the central Analytics team to develop and drive the analytics roadmap for all of GSM. You will report to the Head of Sales & Marketing Analytics, based in Stockholm, and will be a part of the local management team for Sales in Asia.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

·Analytics support to Asian sales organization

-Budget, follow up, report, analyze and predict sales performance.

-Proactively identify business potential for top line growth and cost reduction in cooperation with the sales organization and Business Control/Finance.

-Responsible for explaining the development and trends through various analyzes and initiate actions to further improve revenue.

-Analyze performance and profitability of agency agreements.

-Responsible for driving the regional budget process and monthly reporting of financial performance

-Support local team in analyzing specific accounts/portfolios or other initiatives.

-Responsible for target setting for Corporate and Agents together with Head of Sales.

-Responsible for continuous analysis and insights about market development and trends in areas like sales channels and customer behaviour.

-Visualize and make available insights to ensure sound commercial decisions.

-Challenge, support and advice colleagues in commercial decisions based on facts and insights.

 

·Develop and drive analytics roadmap with central Analytics team

-Share local insights and work with the rest of the Analytics team to identify business potential, best practice across markets and opportunities for collaboration.

-Contribute to continuous development of method of working, tools and processes in the analytics team.

-Work with the rest of the team to constantly improve data quality, visualization of insights and self-service tools for the Sales & Marketing team locally and globally.

-Represent GSM Analytics and/or Asian market in selected development projects

 

Qualification and experiences:

 

·University degree in fields like computer and system sciences, engineering, statistics or equivalent.

·Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from working as a business analyst in a commercial setting.

·Experience from:

-Identifying data driven business opportunities through different analytics solutions.

-Visualizing data and insights to business decision makers and leaders.

-Latest data science, analytics and technology trends and their impact on business, eg. Big data, predictive modelling, machine learning.

-Data governance and data management.

-Experience from airline industry and sales channel optimization is a plus, but not a must.

 

To succeed in this position, we believe that you have excellent problem solving-  and analytical skills as well as an ability to explore, structure and make sense of complex sets of data. You have a good understanding of commercial targets and what drives revenue and costs and are very skillful in visualizing and communicating insights to different groups and stakeholders. You are curious, quick to learn new thing, take own initiatives and able to prioritize your agenda in accordance to what is best for SAS. Further you are resourceful in terms of finding solutions and ideas in new places and working with other departments to get things done. In addition, you have high personal drive with focus delivering results above expectations.

·Fluent in written and spoken English
